MOD 9 FUTURE OF INTELLIGENCE GATHERING

Technology's expansion has been rapid and is constantly changing how we live our day to day lives. We consistently use technology to streamline processes in our every day lives and one rise in technology is proving to be very promising. AI technology is rapidly growing as more and more variations of it come to exist, and it is one of the most versatile technologies developed.

To summarize AI or Artificial Intelligence, it is giving technology the capability to learn from an experience. This means that the more an AI is exposed to various experiences, the more it will learn about them. This can prove to have several different applications from information processing to information analysis. Presenting and AI source with information could prove beneficial to rapidly turn intelligence into a tangible asset, it could also be used to draw connections between multiple sources of intelligence. Eventually, with enough experience, AI could also reach the point where it learns how to identify if there are any gaps in the intelligence as well as how to apply the intelligence that is gathered.

AI technology isn't the only concern as we expand our technological capabilities, there is also the concern for the amount of information available online through open source means. Concerns have been raised about how to best address the amount of data that is shared online and how to protect it as well. Some have called for policies to be mandated to hold the companies that produce these technologies accountable for the protection of the information they have. Cybersecurity and AI are becoming more intertwined as we progress, as AI is both used to gather and generate information.
